Using a proprietary HK short-stroke gas piston instead of the direct-gas-impingement system found in other AR15-style rifles, the MR556A1 is cleaner, cooler, and more reliable. The rifle’s barrel is a cold hammer forged from the highest quality cannon-grade steel and has a 1 in 7″ twist and a taper-bore configuration, which enhances accuracy and velocity.
