This extremely reliable action is composed of just 3 main parts – the bolt body, inertia spring, and rotating bolt head – and harnesses the inertia of recoil to cycle the next round. This simple, yet robust system eliminates the need to make adjustments, and is able to handle the lightest field loads to heavy magnum shells. The Inertia Driven System prevents residue from entering the action and ensures the gas, smoke, and burnt powder remain in the barrel. This makes the Inertia Driven System run significantly cleaner than gas systems. This high-performance shotgun is also equipped with Benelli’s own ComfortTech recoil-reduction system. The ComfortTech system utilizes a series of shock-absorbing chevrons, which essentially turns the entire stock into one large recoil pad. M2 shotguns come in a 12 or 20 gauge caliber.
