Ruger Old Model Super Blackhawk 44 Mag 7.5″ Revolver

44 Magnum, 7 1/2″ barrel with an excellent bore. Ruger sold brass grip frames for a number of years as an aftermarket accessory to be fitted by competent gunsmiths. This “Super” has a non-factory fitted, factory-made brass grip frame that rates about excellent. The frame has the correct “MR-3DB” mark cast into it. The metal surfaces of this 1967 made gun retain about 99% original blue with light high edge wear, light turn ring and few other handling marks. The smooth walnut factory grips with black Ruger Phoenix medallions rate near excellent showing a few light handling marks. The grips have more figure than normally found on later panels featuring a lighter background with streaks of dark colored grain running their length. This gun features a serrated ramp front sight, black blade adjustable rear sight and timing and lock up are excellent. The transfer bar safety update has not been done to this gun. Brass frame revolvers remain popular for the striking two-tone appearance of the gun.
