The Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle is designed for versatility and ease of use in various conditions. A forward-mounted Picatinny rail allows for mounting modern optics, enabling “both eyes open” sighting and rapid target acquisition. The rifle also features a built-in, accurate sighting system with an adjustable ghost ring rear aperture sight and a non-glare, protected blade front sight.

Other notable features include a detachable box magazine with push-forward magazine release, integral scope mounts that provide a stable mounting surface for included scope rings, and a free-floating, cold hammer-forged barrel that results in ultra-precise rifling for exceptional accuracy and longevity. The rifle also has a rugged and reliable glass-reinforced nylon trigger guard and magazine.

In terms of customization, the Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle has a soft-rubber buttpad with buttpad spacers, allowing for proper sizing for different shooters or varying levels of outerwear, and a lightweight synthetic stock with a forward aluminum bedding block and rear aluminum pillar that positively locate the receiver.
